Oracle ERP Roadmap: Which Way Now ? - The Bournemouth Journey

Date: 22nd June

Time: 13:35 - 14:20

Do you have a clearly defined ERP strategy in place? How can you best maximise return on your ERP investment and deliver on your strategic business objectives?

This presentation will help you understand the current and future support status of Oracle E-Business Suite releases and will assist the decision making process around some of the common questions ERP decision makers are debating:

- Is it time to move away from an on-premise solution?

- Is it time to move to an Oracle SaaS solution either fully or part of a co-existence strategy?

- Is upgrading to the latest release of Oracle E-Business Suite R12 the best option for me?

- Is Sustained Managed Service the most favourable route?

With many organisations that are currently operating on a version of Oracle E-Business Suite that is either in Sustaining Support or moving toward this model. The time will eventually come when they need to decide how to move forward with their environment. There are a number of options available including upgrading to the latest release of Oracle R12.

Bournemouth Borough Council however opted for the cloud based Oracle Fusion to ensure versatile reporting, ease of maintenance, compliance of future enhancements and efficiency and effectiveness. Version 1 will take you through the journey undertaken towards Oracle Fusion. The presentation will address the reasons for why Oracle Fusion was considered the right choice for the council, what were the key benefits, and what were the key lessons learnt from an Oracle Fusion implementation.
