Monitoring license compliance in technically complex infrastructures is a significant challenge; even more so with the onset of ‘Cloud’. This session begins to highlight some of the challenges of these infrastructure and the common problems that arise. We then go on to demonstrate how Oracle Enterprise Manager has been used to monitor and track license compliance issues based on real life use cases. However monitoring database feature usage is just one aspect; going further we look into how OEM can minimize license compliance risk through software provisioning and how you can harvest operating system information to gain further insight into your IT estate.
