What are the Levels of Oracle Partner Membership?
Oracle
PartnerNetwork incorporates three membership levels. As a company progresses to
higher levels within the program, Oracle’s commitment to the company increases by
providing additional marketing and sales engagement opportunities and enhanced
benefits and resources.
Partner - Partner is the "discovery" level. The Partner level enables companies to introduce their unique solutions or services to the Oracle economy while building their Oracle competency. Partners have access to software within selected Product Focus areas as well as many other web-based resources designed to enhance their value proposition, broaden their opportunity and extend their reach in the marketplace.
Certified
Partner - As the partners business
grows with Oracle and the company proves their skills in delivering Oracle
solutions, they may apply for an upgrade to Certified Partner level. Companies
at this level receive increased personal interaction, information, promotion
and benefits from Oracle.
Certified
Advantage Partner - Certified Advantage
Partner is Oracle’s highest membership level.
Certified Advantage Partners consistently demonstrate their commitment
to Oracle. Companies will receive the highest level of recognition, engagement
and dedicated account management when they reach this level.
What does working with an Oracle Partner mean to you as a customer?
Partners help create rich
solutions for broader markets, and bring even greater value to customers
through solutions that address business needs.
Together, Oracle and its partners provide customers around the world
with industry-leading solutions and services. When a customer chooses an
Oracle-based partner solution or service, they are deploying the reliability,
security, availability, and scalability of Oracle, plus the extended power of a
partner that works hand-in-hand with Oracle, and provides for specific
functional area, market, or industry needs.
A benefit for customers in using Oracle’s
recognised Partners is a matter of knowing that they are keeping their skills,
knowledge and therefore competency current with Oracle's products. Partners are able to advise and implement
the most up-to-date solutions for the customer, something that other less
informed implementers and system integrators would not be able to do. End-users should judge potential partners on
the experience of the company and its individuals and most importantly they
should take up references and ensure partners have completed similar projects
to the satisfaction of its past clients
Oracle actively engages with
partners that are on Accelerator Programmes (wishing to obtain Certified
Partners (CP) or Certified Advantage Partners (CAP) status. CPs and CAPs ensure that they keep their
skills current via a several methods, this includes partner forums, awareness
events, OPN Competence Centre Training, regular review meetings, and
assessment. CP partners are required to have less qualified personnel than CAP
partners, thus in theory the higher the level the more resource capability they
have. CPs and CAP Partners are assessed annually and must pass strict criteria
to continue to operate as CAPs, this criteria includes staff passing
certification exams and the ability to show project implementation success
during the year.
The interaction centre works with Partners to nurture them and assist with moving up the partner levels
So how do you find an Oracle Partner to work with?
The Oracle PartnerNetwork's Solutions Catalogue, is a gateway to Oracle Partner products and services worldwide. Use it to find hardware, software, system integration, and services vendors, which are Oracle Partners.
The Solutions Catalogue is an
ever-increasing collection of information on Oracle Partner joint products and
services. We suggest coming back often
to view the newest Partner offerings and catalogue additions.
How do I use the Solutions Catalogue?
Simple Search will provide a
maximum of 200 solutions. To refine your search criteria, please use Advanced Search.
Note: If a user enters UK in the Solution availability search - they
will receive a list of all solutions available in the UK - e.g. you could
have a partner in Germany who has a solution for the UK and the German Partner
will show in the search. Not ideal -
but apparently this "country search" is on a list of system
enhancements to be resolved shortly
Due to the length of
these lists and number of non-UK partners, which are listed because their
solutions are available in the UK, we have compiled a list of partners in the
UK.
We suggest looking
at all the available partners in the UK and then looking them up in the
solutions catalogue for full details on their offerings.
