Moving to Oracle BI EE from a Discoverer Users Perspective

We have all heard the presentations on the new Oracle BI Suite Enterprise Edition, and how it is possible to either migrate from, or
interoperate with, Oracle Discoverer. But how exactly do you make the move from Discoverer, how does the EUL translate to BI EE's metadata
layer, can you still build the same sorts of worksheets, are the same type of analytic and time-series queries available, and what more can you do with Dashboards and Delivers?

This presentation takes a quick look at the strengths and weaknesses of Oracle Discoverer, and looks at how Oracle BI EE measures up. It
then looks at how you can manually recreate your End User Layer in Oracle BI EE, how you can bring in other non-Oracle data, and how you can take advantage of the additional features in Interactive Dashboards and Delivers to address some of the weaknesses and areas of missing functionality in Discoverer.
