For anyone developing on the Oracle platform, the term "Fusion" heralds both an exciting new chapter in Oracle's history, but also introduces challenges for those who want to follow Oracle's lead in standards-based development. So what is Fusion development? Do I need to be a Java expert? What frameworks will I use? What will the development experience be like?

This masterclass is aimed at giving you with kick-start to becoming a Fusion developer. Delivered by Grant Ronald, a Senior Group Product Manager in Oracle and author of the ‘Quick Start Fusion Development Guide’, the masterclass takes you through the development of Fusion applications, focusing on Oracle's productivity framework Oracle ADF, and Oracle JDeveloper 11g. With a focus on live demos, you will see how to build reusable business services, web services, implement business logic and validation. You will then learn how to build templates, UI pages and application flow.

This is an opportunity to kick start your own, and your company's Fusion development initiatives, and is free to UKOUG members. This event is expected to quickly become a "sell out" so reserve your places now. Places are allocated on a first come first served basis.

All four sessions will be presented by: Grant Ronald, Senior Group Product Manager - Application Development Tools responsible for:

  • Oracle JDeveloper, ADF, and Oracle Forms
  • Awarded UKOUG Inspiring Presentations Awards 2010 – Oracle Technology
  • Author of: ‘Quick Start Guide to Oracle Fusion Development : JDeveloper and Oracle ADF’
  • Oracle Liaison to UKOUG Development SIG
