The UKOUG Solaris SIG is back from taking a break - and it's going to be a cracker of an event!

What can you expect at the Christmas Special?

On Wednesday, 18th December, open your advent calendar doors to see Andrew Gabriel give a special talk about the OpenZFS Group.

Join us this month to hear...

The OpenZFS Project - view his presentation here.
In less than 10 years, which is a very short time in the lifetime of filesystems, ZFS has rapidly grown to become one of the key Enterprise filesystems.
In this month’s talk, Andrew will talk about the various different ZFS distributions which have emerged, and will describe the new OpenZFS Project.

 About the Speaker
Andrew Gabriel has worked on Solaris-based technologies for very many years, both as a kernel engineer (he holds some of the Solaris Zones patents), and in customer facing technical roles, where he is currently a ZFS specialist.
Andrew has given many presentations and workshops covering ZFS and other Solaris technologies.

The topics are wide ranging, the presenters are knowledgeable and approachable. it is a very practical way to keep in touch with all what is happening around Solaris
