Solaris 11 Automated Installer Walkthrough - Andrew Watkins, Birkbeck College
Andrew will give a presentation of the new features of the Automated Installer which is now found in Solaris 11. The presentation will outline the system configuration tool that generates system profiles and all the relevant procedures needed to set up the Installer. He will demonstrate its use via a set of complete examples in VirtualBox.
Andrew co-chair of the Solaris SIG, works in the Computer Science Department of Birkbeck College, where they have been using Solaris for 20 years as their main server platform. His expertise covers Solaris and Windows, and his work in higher education requires an up-to-date awareness of current and emerging computing trends.
