Committee Roles & Responsibilities

Chair

  • Accountable for delivering/sourcing the SIG content
  • Advocate UKOUG 
  • Utilise own network within the Oracle community for the benefit of UKOUG
  • Be visible on site at events and assist with queries
  • Assist with community queries
  • Be available for a minimum of three 1 hour conference calls per SIG cycle
  • Be available for a minimum of 70% of your SIGs
  • Impartiality
  • Host the welcome and introduction to the SIG
  • Fill out the SIG Chairs Report after each SIG
  • Fill out the SIG brief once a year

Deputy Chair

  • Responsible for assisting the SIG Chair in delivering/sourcing the SIG content
  • Advocate UKOUG 
  • Utilise own network within the Oracle community for the benefit of UKOUG
  • Be visible on site at events and assist with queries
  • Assist with community queries
  • Be available for a minimum of three1 hour conference calls per SIG cycle
  • Be available for a minimum of 70% of your SIGs
  • Impartiality
  • Assist SIG Chair to fill out the SIG brief once a year
  • Deputise for the SIG Chair when necessary

Committee Member (End User / Partner)

  • Responsible for assisting the SIG Chair in delivering/sourcing the SIG content
  • Advocate UKOUG 
  • Utilise own network within the Oracle community for the benefit of UKOUG
  • Be visible on site at events and assist with queries
  • Assist with community queries
  • Be available for a minimum of three 1 hour conference calls per SIG cycle
  • Be available for a minimum of 70% of your SIGs
  • Impartiality
  • Assist SIG Chair to fill out the SIG brief once a year
  • Deputise for the SIG Chair/SIG Deputy Chair when necessary

Oracle Liaison

  • Responsible for assisting the SIG chair in delivering/sourcing the SIG content 
  • Advocate UKOUG 
  • Utilise own network within the Oracle community for the benefit of UKOUG
  • Be visible on site at event and assist with queries
  • Assist with community queries
  • Be available for a minimum of three 1 hour conference calls per SIG cycle
  • Be available for a minimum of 70% of your SIGs (mandatory in Oracle offices)
  • Impartiality
  • Give insight into up to date Oracle news
  • Be the primary interface into Oracle for the SIG User Group Community & feedback
  • Help market the SIG via Oracle channels
  • Fill out the Oracle Liaison Post Event Report
