Present at an event
From ten person, two hour focus groups to our regularly held Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and our highly popular UKOUG Conference Series, UKOUG offers over 100 events each year.
We are constantly looking for speakers to present at our events. We always have an agenda to enhance and we need your insights, lessons learnt and customer experience stories to add value to our event offerings.
When a speaker is required for an event, we will ask for an abstract which will be sent to the SIG committee who put together the event agenda. They will then contact applicants.
If you're interested, take a look at the communities and SIG pages and once you know where your topic fits, complete your abstract form.
Call for papers
For our annual conferences, we hold separate 'call for papers', where you can submit presentation online. To ensure you receive information on these dates remember to update your online profile and visit conferences for more details on these events.
Join a committee
Become a chair or deputy chair for one of our event committees. These committees are extremely important to UKOUG and are set up to ensure that our events continue to represent the needs of each community. The role includes shaping the agendas for events and ensuring that they remain relevant and of great interest to the group. In return for your time and commitment to UKOUG, we offer great benefits. Judge conference papers
The process for choosing our 200+ session agenda for Conference Series Technology & E-Business Suite is critical to its success. We therefore ask for members with good industry knowledge in all topic areas to aid us in reviewing the abstracts submitted. By doing so, you will assist our final agenda panel in the decision of what will be presented at Conference. For further information please email: volunteers@ukoug.org
Introduce conference sessions
All presentations at UKOUG Conference Series Technology & E-Business Suite are introduced by session chairs. This involves introducing yourself to the speaker prior to the session, running through housekeeping items with the audience, introducing the speaker and then keeping the session to time & facilitating any question & answer sessions at the end.
If you introduce 5 or more sessions you will be entitled to a complimentary 3 day conference pass.

Join the Partner of the Year Awards adjudication team
UKOUG Partner of the Year Awards nominations take place each from March each year. We require adjudicators to shortlist each award category to 6 nominees. If you are an end-user with a good knowledge of one or more of the 20 award categories we want to hear from you: volunteers@ukoug.org
Are you skilled photographer?
UKOUG are looking for a volunteer photographer for events later in the year. If you are skilled in taking photos, show us your work by sending pictures of the next SIG you attend to: volunteers@ukoug.org. A selection of the best photos will be displayed on the UKOUG website. If you are the UKOUG David Bailey then you may find yourself invited to represent us, expenses paid at future events.
