EPM & Hyperion

The UKOUG EPM & Hyperion community provides members with content on Essbase, HFM & Planning through events, ebulletins, publications and online discussion groups.

Hyperion Essbase 

The Essbase & Reporting SIG enables its members to increase their knowledge, enhance professional skills and provides a guide to resources to maximise the value of Oracle Hyperion Essbase and Reporting.  

Members can:

  • Input into the Customer Advisory Board, which influence Oracle product strategies
  • Network with other users through conferences and SIG meetings
  • Learn best practice when implementing and supporting systems built using the tools
  • Gain insight into how other organisations are using the tools to gain competitive advantage 
  • Get an understanding of new functionality and future product direction / strategy
  • Take part in two dedicated Planning & Essbase themed events a year, traditionally in March and October.

Hyperion Planning  

With thousands of customers worldwide, Hyperion Planning is a popular packaged application for automating and streamlining financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes. A cornerstone of Oracle's Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system, Hyperion Planning is built on Oracle Essbase, the industry-leading OLAP server, and users can access the application using either a web-based interface or Smart View, its comprehensive Microsoft Office integration.

The Hyperion Planning SIG meets twice a year in London, usually in March and October, and aims to enable its members to make the most of their Hyperion investment.

Members can:

  • Network with other users and gain an understanding of how other organisations have benefited from using the software
  • Get firsthand insight into new product functionality and future product direction
  • Provide input to the Customer Advisory Board, which influences Oracle's product strategy
  • Learn best practice when implementing and supporting systems built using the software

Hyperion HFM

Oracle Hyperion Financial Management is a comprehensive, Web-based application that delivers global financial consolidation, reporting and analysis in a single, highly scalable software solution. Oracle Hyperion Financial Management utilises today's most advanced technology, yet is built to be owned and maintained by the enterprise's finance team.  

The Hyperion HFM SIG aims to enable its members through learning resources, to enhance professional skills and make the most of your Hyperion investment.

 Members can:Input into the Customer Advisory Board which influences Oracle's product strategies

  • Network with other users through dedicated conferences & SIG meetings
  • Learn best practice when implementing and supporting systems built using the tools
  • Gain insight into how other organisations are using the tools to gain competitive advantage 
  • Get an understanding of new functionality and future product direction / strategy.

The EPM & Hyperion Conference is the largest event we run for this community, featuring five streams of content and an exhibition containing key Oracle Partners as well as keynotes from Oracle Executives - this is the place to hear the latest updates from those close to product development.  Find out what happened at: www.oug.org/hyperion
