You are invited to the, postponed, launch of the Oracle Academy Future Job Framework @ 9.30am on Friday January 30th 2015.
Venue: Oracle Corporation CVC. Blackness Road, Springfield, Linlithgow, West Lothian EH49 7LR
Given the well publicised Skills shortage in the technology sector Oracle Academy have developed a framework to support students who wish to pursue a career in technology.
The programme is designed to enable Colleges and Companies to collaborate in order to meet the needs of both industry and academia whilst supporting students to develop the skills they need to pursue a career in technology regardless of the industry sector they may work in.
Colleges will have the opportunity to deliver a two year HND course in conjunction with an industry partner who can provide students with work experience, mentoring and an end of course job interview.
The two year course which can be delivered by Colleges will embed Oracle Academy curriculum including Java programming, database design and development with SQL and PL/SQL.
The Framework is designed to provide students with exposure to industry current technology and work experience to enable them to become ‘job ready’ individuals at course end.
The launch event will provide you with an introduction to this framework and an opportunity to ask questions on how this may work for you as a College or an employer.
We have designed the Future Job Framework to maximize opportunity for students, colleges and employers by asking organisations and colleges to partner in a strategic way to support the student throughout their time of study.
You can find the agenda attached to this page.
