Fusion Applications
We are not yet ready for a SIG dedicated to Fusion Apps but we thought it would be useful to have a webpage that might help answer some of your questions.
When Oracle first announced they were to develop Fusion Applications as the next generation of Applications UKOUG set up a Fusion Council with focus groups to ensure you had your say in the design. Debra Lilley, UKOUG President, has blogged about how UKOUG have been involved in Fusion Applications since Day 1 http://debrasoracle.blogspot.com/2009/12/how-proud-am-i.html
As the project moved into development we are still working to ensure that when Oracle talks more about the Applications your representatives are well briefed. Larry Ellison showcased Fusion Applications at Oracle OpenWorld but they have not yet been released. Steve Miranda has made available this presentation from earlier in 2010. However we can share with you the Quarterly Question Times we hold with Oracle.
All communication around Fusion Apps and user groups is via the product Development Committee of the International Oracle User Group Community which Debra Lilley, leads to ensure UKOUG has a voice. See Debra's recent presentation to the Rocky Mountain OUG here.
During the development of Fusion, user groups had the opportunity to submit questions to Oracle. Here are the latest which are now being used by Oracle to create their FAQ which will be published on their website after GA. S.MIranda 6th July'10 & S.Miranda 31st March '09
