9 March 2015
James Haslam vacated his CEO role on Friday 6th March, his place is filled by an Interim CEO.
Message from Fiona Martin, Members Advocate Chair:
Further to my announcement that James Haslam was vacating his CEO role, he has now left the User Group. Following his departure I am pleased to say that we have an interim replacement while the Board assess what is required from the position going forward. Pauline Drummond, who you will know was elected President Elect last year, applied for the role and has now been appointed Interim CEO.
Although UKOUG gains a new employee, it does leave us without a President when David Warburton-Broadhurst’s term comes to an end in March. In this period of change the Appointments Group have advised the following:
- Both myself as Members Advocate Chair and David Warburton-Broadhurst as President will extend our terms by one month to allow the new election process to complete.
- Nominations for Members Advocate Chair closed as of 20th February, the voting stage will be delayed so that the membership will be able to cast their votes for both roles at the same time.
- Nominations for President are now open and will remain until 7th April.
Voting for both Members Advocate Chair and President will open on 20th April and the successful candidates will be in situ in May 2015.
Now, Pauline is currently in transition into the Interim CEO position I’m sure you will join me in wishing her well in her new operations role and once again thank James for his outstanding 19 years service with UKOUG and to also wish him every success in his future endeavours.
As always please do reach out to me if you have any questions.
