February 2014 - Updates from Oracle Apps UX Team

6 February 2014

Have a look what Apps UX team recommends this month...

#1: Oracle Applications User Experience Expo Set in Amsterdam

In March, the Oracle Applications User Experience (UX) team will be in Amsterdam for an OAUX Expo, hosted by Oracle partner AMIS. Visit the AMIS Technology Blog to read more about this public event to showcase the Oracle user experience strategy, or visit the registration page to sign up. Oracle’s Ultan O’Broin also writes about the event and provides a look at simplified UI, which will be one of many highlighted demos at the expo, on the Usable Apps blog.

#2: Can’t Get Enough of Google Glass

Oracle Applications User Experience (UX) team member Ultan O’Broin and Oracle co-workers write about their different experiences with Google Glass in “Heads Up on Displays: Exploring Google Glass Globally.”  Ultan writes, “I thought it would be interesting to hear from some about what reactions they’d encountered around the world.”

#3: Exploring Cool Gadgets

Check the AppsLab blog to see what Oracle’s Jake Kuramoto is currently playing with in “Home Automation for Christmas.”  Jake’s team in the Applications User Experience group explores cool gadgets to investigate how they could evolve the Oracle user experience. Jake also writes about members of the Oracle Applications User Experience (UX) team who participated in the AT&T Developer Summit Hackathon recently. Their vision of how cool gadgets could change the way public safety officials use technology includes Google Glass, text messages and alerts, and voice.
