Everything you need to know as an Oracle E-Business Suite professional to take you to conference

21 August 2015

Booking to attend a conference can be a big decision to take, you may end up contemplating questions such as; how much will it cost? How do I get there? Where should I stay? Are there group discounts? etc. So to save you some time we’ve broken it down into six simple steps, helping you to easily make your way to Apps15.

Top tips to take you to conference

1. Confirm your attendance
Once you have decided which days you’d like to attend (Apps15 takes place over 7th - 9th December), the question of budget springs to mind. To attend any of the conferences in the most cost effective way is to be a member. Our Gold and Platinum membership packages include conference days and Special Interest Group tickets along with a year’s worth of other fantastic benefits. Visit the registration page on each site to find out how to redeem your membership entitlement or how to join.

2. Secure your accommodation
We’ve arranged some exclusive discounted rates with hotels such as: Marriott, City Nites, Copthorne Hotel and Crowne Plaza Birmingham, all within a 5 min walk of the ICC. Take a look at all the options on offer and make your reservation.

3. Travelling to Birmingham
Whether you’re travelling by car, train, plane or bus, we have the directions to make sure you arrive on time and on budget. Many train companies offer advanced booking discounts and reduced prices for group bookings. View the website for details of when these tickets are available from and for further info on other travel options.

4. Get to know the venue
This year's conferences are all co-located at the ICC Birmingham and with a mall that has Starbucks, Strada, WH Smith, The Oak Kitchen and its own Castle Fine Art Gallery, the ICC provides visitors with more than just a corporate experience. Before you arrive in December take five minutes to familiarise yourself with this stunning venue by viewing the venue map or taking a virtual tour.

5. Explore what Birmingham has to offer
Diverse, vibrant and energetic in nature, Birmingham has all the benefits of a major city, and with a city centre that is compact, easy to navigate and walkable. When you’re not at conference take the time to check out Birmingham there’s lots of discounts available, from entertainment and attractions to dining options.
