Probably the best SIG I have ever attended. Straight from the source information & very engaging presenters
Forming part of the Oracle Technology community, the Development SIG allows you as a community member to access the latest thinking around and direction of technologies used in developing applications based on Oracle. We cover leading edge and legacy, tools and techniques, processes and methods, database development, n-tier and client/server. Still use Forms? Lots of organisations do and we keep our finger on the pulse of what's new in the Forms world. Is ADF your thing? We hold sessions that include demos and "How to..." presentations that show how you can quickly build and deploy functionality in your multi-tier environment. Is configuration management a problem? We cover Maven, GIT, Hudson and other tools that help your teams work better together and ensure the integrity of what is developed. And that just scratches the surface, with past events including content on Data Management, Development for Mobile devices, Big Data, Cloud and much more.
Content comes from the user community, consultants and of course Oracle themselves. Have something you want to present? Is there something burning you that you really want to know about? Let the SIG committee know and we can build it into an event or even theme a whole SIG meeting around it. This is YOUR community.
The SIG has a broad remit but some specifics include:
- Development technologies: Forms, ADF, ADF for Mobile
- Team working and delivery management: Hudson, Maven, GIT
- Development tools: SQL Developer and Data Modeler, JDeveloper, TOAD
- Development contexts: Mobile, Big Data, SOA, data management, Cloud, technology migrations"
