Track: Track 1

This presentation takes you on a stroll through a typical linux system you will find in the cloud and the Oracle database, in order to discover what security related information is stored, and what that means to understand what happened in the past, and what isn’t logged and visible. Further, it shows some gotcha’s on gathering information from logfiles, and advise on how an linux installation can be made more tamper proof, and some twists with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Clusterware. At the end of the presentation you should be able to describe what security related information is stored on a linux system, and be able to configure it to provide the information you want or are required to store.
