...and dedicated areas for members, volunteers and Oracle staff

UKOUG members networking

We have updated the key areas of the UKOUG website, making information easier to find for our existing members and navigation clearer for our prospective members.

We recognised that different visitors have different needs and we have organised the website accordingly.

We now have a tab for Member Activities – the go-to place for all members. Rediscover the benefits of your membership here and find out ways you can get further involved with the User Group. Claim your member discounts, access the digital edition of Oracle Scene magazine or update your company’s information in this area.

We have introduced a Partner Area – This is specifically for Partner members and lists the various ways partners can get involved with UKOUG; advertising, event sponsorship and exhibition opportunities.

Our volunteers are very important to us at UKOUG so, to ensure we keep our volunteers fully up-to-date on UKOUG goings on, we have created a dedicated Volunteers’ Area. This area will be the go-to place for our volunteers and will contain information about events for volunteers, give them access to relevant documents to help them in their roles. They will also be able to join our Groupspaces account to start conversations with other volunteers and share information or ideas for SIGs. We will also add any logos or promotional material here which volunteers can display on their own websites.

At the same time, prospective members can expect a more streamlined experience when looking in to information regarding a UKOUG membership as we have now split the journey for Partners and end-users. This, again, means that end-users will only see information that is relevant to them and the same goes for Partners.

We have also included some end-user case studies, which detail how being a UKOUG member has helped them in their daily roles, so prospective members can now get a feel for the kinds of people who are part of our community and who attend our events. We will be adding more case-studies over the coming months, so if you are a member and would like to get involved, email karina@ukoug.org or call her on +44 (0)20 8545 9674.

Please do have a look around the new website and if you have any feedback or feel we've not answered your question, do let Karina know.

We'd love to get your feedback on this; you'll need a UKOUG login to provide it, so if you don't have one, please click on 'create a web profile' first.
