Openness and Innovation
This certification means that organizations can run SAP applications with Oracle Databases on the same code base on the UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.

With the most recent SAP NetWeaver version released in September 2014, SAP has also begun to provide an Oracle-specific implementation of SAP's Core Data Services. This allows SAP applications and application developers to push application functionality down to the database in order to, for example, call procedures stored in the Oracle Database.

Oracle Database #1 Among SAP Customers
"Oracle Database is the #1 database among SAP customers around the globe, with a large customer base that gains long-term cost benefits from the two companies’ integrated technologies," explains Willie Hardie, vice president, Oracle Database Product Management.

For more than 20 years, SAP and Oracle have worked together to provide customers with a supported SAP/Oracle environment when running SAP applications on top of an Oracle Database. The new certification is the latest example in a long history of cooperation.
