Over 200 delegates descended on Oracle Linlithgow on 10th June 2015 seeking to learn, network and share with one another for OUG Scotland 2015.
The day began with Pauline Drummond, Interim CEO of UKOUG welcoming delegates to the event followed by a keynote by Oracle's Caroline Stuart. Session then began by spliting into six streams spanning Apps, Apex, Business Analytics, Cloud, Database and Development.
The agenda covered a wide variety of topics including Oracle SOA Suite, Digital Transformation, Oracle Cloud for Developers and Oracle Database In-Memory.
The day finished with a Social Drinks Reception at the Star & Gartner where all attendees were invited to have a drink or two with one another to relax after a hard day's learning.
Here's what delegates thought of OUG Scotland 2015:
"In the 16 years that I have worked with Oracle I had never been to an OUG, I didn't even know that the Scottish OUG existed until I recently attended an Oracle 12c and some of the other delegates asked if I went to the Scottish OUG's and advised that they were very worthwhile. Having attended my first OUG they were true to their word and only wish that I was aware of them earlier. In turn I will recommend to my colleagues and work contacts."
Paul Gibson, North Ayrshire Government
"The OUG have once again provided insight in to Oracle providing a informative arena to enable both networking and knowledge gathering. We highly recommend their Conferences!"
Martin Jenkinson, Rookery Software
"I always enjoy the variety of speakers and topics on offer at OUG and it's great that we have a local event in Scotland."
Jim Reilly, Dundee City Council
"Worthwhile use of a day. Raise your eyes above the parapet and have a look at success stories from some other sites."
John Thomas, Bailliegifford & Co
"Another well-organised event by OUG in Scotland, a very well attended event for networking opportunities and plenty to choose from the different streams of presentations. The quality of presentations I attended was excellent!"
Jaana Stewart, University of Stirling
