This year’s event offered six streams of content and two Oracle led keynotes, tailored individually to our Applications and Technology audiences. With sessions from 40 industry experts and Oracle ACEs, the agenda covered content around APEX, Database, Development, Business Analytics & EPM, Cloud Applications and Oracle E-Business Suite Applications. The morning began with two keynotes, kicking off with a discussion around the latest release of Oracle Database 12c (Gerald Venzl & Patrick Wheeler) and an update on Oracle E-business Suite (Nadia Bendjedou).
We were delighted to hear that the event went exceptionally well, with some of the most well-received sessions including:
• APEX 5.2 presented by Hillary Farrell, Oracle and an introduction to its new features and updates.
• Combining Cloud Based Data with On Premises Analytics presented by Kiran Tailor, CIMA. A how-to on retrieving cloud data to premise and managing an exalytics engineered system with 13c.
• Running Your E-Business Suite on Oracle Cloud (IaaS + PaaS) presented by Nadia Bendjedou, Oracle, who showed the value of coupling Oracle E-Business Suite with Oracle Cloud offerings.
Between sessions, users could explore the exhibition hall where we were joined by our sponsors: Oracle, ConfigSnapshot, Hubble and Support Revolution, and our partners: excel4apps, More4Apps, Namos Solutions Ltd, Polaris Associates, Rimini Street, Velocity and Version 1.
The day closed with networking drinks and a chance to reflect on the sessions. Here’s what some of our users had to say:
“Great opportunity to meet fellow Oracle users and gain an understanding of how they utilise applications.”
Matthew Mulligan, Fife Council
“Go attend, enjoy, learn and pass it on.”
Steve Davis, Namos Solutions Ltd
