UKOUG Operating Systems, Storage & Engineering Systems Event - A Success!

30 May 2014

Thank you so much for those who came to this year’s new event in Birmingham!

So for those of you who missed out on our new event, or simply want to enjoy the information again, we’ve got it right here…

Almost 100 delegates joined us at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham for a three stream agenda packed full of content on Operating Systems, Virtualisation Technology, Engineered Systems and Networking & Storage. Presentations were wide ranging. Delegates took away information on Solaris, Dtrace, virtualisation and SuperCluster to name a few of the hot topics.

"The agenda was very varied across al three streams and within each stream as well. There was something for everyone throughout the day" Joy Marshall, Oracle Liaison

The day kicked off with a welcome and introduction from UKOUG CEO, James Haslam followed by an opening keynote presentation from Chris Armes, VP of Engineering, who shared Oracle’s story on how Software and Hardware are engineered to work together.image9

"It was my first time speaking at UKOUG event. I really enjoyed the day – great talks, good networking opportunities and engaged audience!" David Hueber, DBI Services

Throughout the breaks, delegates had a chance to network and visit the exhibition to compare different products and services.

“As the only UK partner able to deliver the entire Oracle offering, we felt it was vital to sponsor the UKOUG OSSE event, where we could assist customers with their Oracle needs, while at the same time fully supporting the Oracle red stack messages.” Andrew Norris, Inoapps
