As a responsive user group, we are dedicated to developing the IT sector, and representing all members within it. We have recently noticed a resurgence of interest in the issue of women in IT and what can be done to support and encourage them in their careers.
This is not intended to be a forum to air grievances. We want to be a positive catalyst for change where everyone in the IT industry – male and female, can support current and prospective women in IT to get the most out of their career.

The conference sessions identified three key problem areas:
- Women are generally not encouraged into IT roles, particularly at entry level.

This means they miss out on learning about key developments in the sector and the opportunity to expand their knowledge through meeting other delegates.
