A user group is about a community coming together to share knowledge. UKOUG provides different products and services to achieve this and needs the community to get involved in order to make it successful. You can assist in sharing knowledge with the Oracle community by becoming a volunteer. A UKOUG volunteer is someone from the Oracle community who is interested in assisting UKOUG in “serving the Oracle community” by offering their time to one or more of the following:

• Becoming a Director of UKOUG
• Introducing sessions at UKOUG Conferences
• Joining a committee to shape content for our events
• Joining the Oracle Scene review panel to regularly evaluate content submissions
• Judging abstracts to help decide the agenda for the UKOUG Conference Series
• Presenting at UKOUG events
• Writing an article for Oracle Scene, our flagship publication
• Become a judge for the UKOUG Partner of the Year Awards 2009/10
