On Tuesday just over 230 attendees arrived at Mercedes-Benz World for the 2011 Hyperion & EPM OUG Conference Series. With a packed agenda including five streams there was little time to watch the mercs do their thing on the skid pad outside.
With the venue in mind, the exhibition boasted an array of car related treats for delegates including an FI simulator on the AMOSCA stand and a 200k super car, SLS AMG, hosted on the TRIOMETRIC stand with delegates winning the chance for a driving experience in one!
We also welcomed a new partner, Edgewater Ranzal exhibiting their consulting services for EPM solutions on the Oracle/Hyperion platform for the first time with UKOUG.
The world class content in the agenda promoted discussion and learning throughout the two days of the conference. Many thanks must go to our fantastic speakers and volunteers for all their effort in putting together this year’s well received agenda.
“Excellent conference, the content was both informative and thought provoking and will no doubt lead to more work.” Derek Mullin, North East Patches Shared System Group not Northumbria Healthcare
The highlight for many people was the hands-on workshops on Wednesday. These included Financial close with Ashley Chapman, Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP and Hyperion Applications and OBI EE with Sean Thompson, Keyteach.
“Hands on sessions were brilliant” Sarah Seabrook, Marsh Inc.
A number of Hyperion & EPM community first timers attended this year’s conference. Using the networking time to make valuable contacts and learn from their fellow community members, which proved to be an essential part of the conference for all attendees.
“Very new so nice experience for my first conference” Erkut Topcuoqu, Trimetric
“Networking side was really useful in my fact finding mission as a new user of Hyperion” Mark Catchpole, Gearbulk
Presentations from the event will be available online for members shortly.
