Abstract: The cloudy reality is upon us. This presentations presents the least an Oracle DBA needs to know about Oracle's Infrastructure as a Service cloud. We will look at the overall Oracle cloud architecture and then drill into terminology and concepts that are required to understand cloud concepts. We will start from the basics of how you too can get up and running in the cloud. The presentation will explore the key features of the various IaaS layers: compute, storage, and networking and then consider various use cases.
