UK Oracle User Group

Farewell to UKOUG CEO

Farewell to UKOUG CEO

28 January 2015

After 19 years with the user group, James Haslam has decided to leave UKOUG and his CEO role effective 6th March 2015.

James joined UKOUG in July 1997 as Financial Controller, through his 19 years he has held the positions of Operations Manager, General Manager, Director of Operations to Chief Executive Officer and Board member of UKOUG. During his tenure, James has played a pivotal role in building and maintaining UKOUG’s position as a leading Oracle User Group on the global stage, expanding UKOUG’s portfolio to bring in PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Hyperion, Siebel, Solaris and Taleo user groups. At the helm he has successfully led and supported the office team through several periods of change.

James is taking a career break, using the opportunity to travel. He is leaving UKOUG in a strong financial position for the experienced team at UKOUG to deliver the services to satisfy the members needs in 2015. If you would like to stay connected you can find him on Linkedin

The role James is vacating is a key leadership role to both UKOUG and in the wider User Group community. As such it is important that James’ replacement is selected with care. To that end, until a replacement is selected, we will be appointing an interim CEO supported by the Senior Management Team.

I'm sure you will all join me in wishing James all the very best for the future. As and when a replacement is appointed I will not hesitate to communicate that to you.

In the meantime, should you wish to contact me I would be pleased to hear from you.

Fiona Martin, Members Advocate Chair
