So what did we have at this years event that allowed JD Edwards users to embrave evolve and explore their Oracle strategy:

  • 21 Exhibitors
  • 44 sessions
  • 19 speakers
  • Knowledge Bites
  • Live Demos
  • Roundtables
  • Keynotes with Lyle Ekdahl, John Schiff, Gary Grieshaber & Bob Monahan
  • Q&A Panel session
  • Guest Speaker Nigel Barlow

This year’s sessions were led by some great speakers who received incredibly good feedback, with the chance to view live product demo’s as well as our short sharp knowledge bites, this year’s events catered for all types of learning and knowledge sharing. Delegates could book one to one sessions with keynote speakers, and Lyle, John, Gary and Bob’s high level of engagement and presence at the conference was loved by all.

Smiling faces and engaging conversations were had all round at the beach themed exhibition drinks, with lots of exhibitors getting involved to make their stands inviting and decorated in all things beach themed – congratulations to All Out Security who won the best dressed competition! Drinks were flowing and delegates made the most of the opportunity to get to know the Oracle vendors in their industry whilst discussing new and upcoming trends in the JDE market. This was received well by our delegates as 100% of attendees said they had valuable networking time. This also relaxed delegates and got the social juices flowing prior to the Big Birmingham Bash.

#BBBash lived up to its name as a BIG event with BIG amounts of fun had by all! From the casino tables, to the dance floor and live band, not forgetting the impromptu conga/limbo competition, delegates from all three conferences merged together to show the Oracle community how to network, party and most of all have fun!

This year’s event had so many popular features that were unique to the JD Edwards audience that’s it’s no surprise 100% of delegates asked said they would recommend the event to a friend! With 87% of delegates saying the event was “excellent to good” it’s safe to say the attendees of the UKOUG JD Edwards Conference & Exhibition 2015 had an enjoyable and informative experience, here’s some more of their thoughts and comments:

"As a first-time exhibitor at the UKOUG I wasn't too sure what to expect but I came away feeling that the two days were a very positive experience.  I can see that the event provides a top-quality networking opportunity for all those involved in the JD Edwards community.  My expectations were significantly surpassed!"

"It gives you a chance to hear comments from other JDE users who you normally will never meet or even know of."

"I'd like to thank and congratulate the staff for organizing the event and to guide the audience to the halls. As I've been involved in (a small part of) organising 2 of the NL JDE user group meeting in the 90's (so a long time ago), I know that the organisation and arranging everything takes quite some time. And in those days the group in NL was even much smaller than the # users now in the ICC for JDE. My compliments to the enthousiastic team . It really makes a difference !"

We'd love to get your feedback on this; you'll need a UKOUG login to provide it, so if you don't have one, please click on 'create a web profile' first.
