"A must have for DBA moving to these new products"

Each year McGraw Hill offer our members free books in return for an honest review of the content.

One of the books available to our members for review this year was Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Performance Tuning Tips & Techniques by Richard Niemiec.

Read our members' review of this book below to decide whether or not it will be worth your investment in this title.

Michele Bryant of Critical Systems Consulting

This book has been around for some time and it is what it says "a must have for DBA moving to these new products". The book is lengthy but easy to read with good examples. I found it interesting in particular chapter 11 on Exadata and RAC.
Useful read to understand the DBA role and the performance aspects of the Oracle Database.
This book is for DBA's and the other comment I have is it might be nice to include more on the developer perspective? Maybe.
