Last Tuesday our 10th annual OUG Ireland event took place.
Over 200 delegates joined us at The CCD in Dublin for a seven stream agenda packed full of content on Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Technology, Business Intelligence and Applications Transformation.
The day kicked off with a welcome and introduction from OUG Ireland chair, Debra Lilley followed by an opening keynote presentation from Jon Paul, Sales Director for Oracle Ireland who shared Oracle's latest offerings on Cloud, social and mobile.
"It's essential to attend these events to get a feel for and to see what your peers are doing in the Oracle Sphere. Any OUG event in Ireland that I have been to has been a worthwhile experience." Ciaran O Sullivan, Bord Gáis
Throughout the breaks, delegates had the chance to network and visit the lively exhibition which provided a hall full of Oracle suppliers who hosted prize draws, activities and the chance to compare products and services. Also joining us in the exhbition hall were the RAC Attack Ninjas who gave delegates a hands-on experience building an Oracle RAC database.
In the run up to the event and throughout the day there was much chatter on Twitter using the hastag '#oug_ire' here's a snippet of what went on:
