Abstract:

Standby databases and performance monitoring are 2 of the biggest challenges for standard edition. This talk will look at setting up and running open source oracle monitoring ASBO (Active Session Breakdown for Oracle) https://github.com/Fivium/ASBO docker image : https://hub.docker.com/r/tomdale55/asbo/ We will also cover setting up and running standby databases for Oracle standard edition using open source DBSYNC https://github.com/Fivium/Oracle-Backup-and-Sync Which will give you the the equivalent to data guard in maximum performance settings. This is a live demo using docker images
