This year we have seen a large increase in engagement and interest in the elections process from members, which have resulted in a record number of election candidates standing and a significant rise in the number of votes being cast this year.

Thank you to all of you who made the time to review and consider the candidates and cast your all important votes. This level of engagement from the membership is great to see and is vital to the success of your user group and to the success of your Council.

The Council is an integral part of UKOUG providing critical input on the direction of the user group and serving as a bridge between the membership, the Board and the staff, and we rely heavily on your support.

Please continue to engage with and support your representative Councillors. Work with them to provide feedback and ideas to ensure that we collectively strengthen UKOUG and help it remain the ‘must belong’ Oracle users group.

My congratulations to the successful candidates - we have lots to do and I look forward to working alongside you over the coming months.

Lisa Dobson, Vice President & Council Chair, UKOUG
