Tell us about yourself in 100 words:
I have over 15 years’ experience in IT Asset Management and lead a number of large scale ITAM projects for global organisations (including heading the largest global SAM project ever undertaken for a global organisation with over half a million devices).
Authored a book on SAM Best Practices, which has been translated into several languages. Part of the original ISO Committee that defined the ISO19770-1 SAM standard, and I regularly speak at international events and have published articles in many industry publications
Prior to joining PWC, I headed EMEA Strategy Services at Flexera Software and before that, UK Manager at an international Software Account. I began my career as a lecturer in Statistical Systems at City University, London.
What is your main goal in life?
I have many life goals, but jut to be happy and fulfilled in my work and home life - and to see as much of the world as possible.
What are your interests inside and outside of work?
Inside work I want to dispel the myths of the 'Big4' only doing audit work and highlight the experience of my team in doing very strategic SAM projects. Outside work I have a passion for travel & food, and am a Latin American dance teacher.
How long have you been working with Oracle products?
I have been working in SAM projects around Oracle for over 10 years.
Detail one key take away from your presentation?
Identifying ROI is personal to your business and although looking at Best Practices are very useful, they aren't always practical. Aligning both is key to success.
What do you predict will be the next big topic within Oracle licensing?
It will be interesting to see the uptake on moving to cloud product in the next couple of years, and how managing compliance works in practice.
What is the best thing about presenting at a UKOUG event?
The networking opportunities.
