UKOUG has opened recruitment for a Finance Non-Executive Director to join the team.

Qualifications: Requires a fully qualified accountant, for example ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA
Status: Contracted annually (not an employee), 24 days per year at £400 per 8 hours

Job Summary
The CFO of UKOUG, in partnership with the CEO and Board, is responsible for the financial success of UKOUG. Together and as a full board member, the Board team establishes and assures the accomplishment of the UKOUG mission and vision and its relevance to those it serves.

The Finance NED has executive responsibility for the day today financial operations of the business and the authority to carry out those responsibilities, in accordance with the direction and policies established by the Board and CEO. The Finance NED works with the CEO to provide leadership and direction to financial staff roles. The CEO demonstrates commitment to continued personal professional growth and development of UKOUG staff, processes and outcomes.

Time allowance is 24 days for the year, varying by month to match the planning and accounting cycle. This includes attending 4 Board meetings per year plus the members’ AGM, approving the monthly salary run and expenses, working with the CEO to build the annual budget, submission of annual accounts and audit, and directing UKOUG finances as necessary. Year end is currently December.
