Why should I set myself up with an online profile? 
Essential for both members and guests - Having an online profile allows you to register for events and ensures you receive news and event updates specific to your Oracle product area of interest.

How do I create an online profile to access online services? Up Arrow
You will need to click on this link and follow these instructions:

  • Members will need to choose the ‘already a member‘ option and enter their membership number and company name. Your main contact can provide you with your membership number. If you are the main contact and require these details please call our team on +44 (0)20 8545 9670 or drop us an email at info@ukoug.org
  • Fill in your personal details
  • You will be emailed a password to access the website
  • You will be able to update your communication preferences, once logged in, to ensure you only receive communications tailored to the products and services you use

I created an online profile but was not sent a password Up Arrow
As passwords are sent out instantly on submission, you may have entered an incorrect email address upon registering. Please email info@ukoug.org with your correct email address and we will update the system and reset your password.

How do I update my profile or contact details? 
Simply log in from our home page and amend your details in your My UKOUG area.

How do I retrieve my username and password? 
Typically, your username is the email address you provided when you registered with UKOUG. If you have changed your email address, but have not updated your online profile, your login will be your old email address. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a reminder here. You will be prompted to answer a security question. Please bear in mind that your password will be emailed to the email address you originally registered with, so if you have moved companies or if you are still having problems signing into your online account, please contact us on +44 (0)20 8545 9670 or drop us an email at info@ukoug.org.

Is my company a UKOUG member? 
You will need to speak to a member of our team to find out if your company already has a membership with UKOUG. This does not guarantee that you can use this membership. Permission will have to be sought from the main contact of the membership. Please call the membership team on +44 (0)20 8545 9670 or email info@ukoug.org.

How do I find out what my membership number is? 
Membership numbers are communicated to the main contact of an account. They can share this with anyone within their organisation as appropriate. If you are not the main contact of your organisation and require your membership number, you can find it out by logging into your My UKOUG area where you can also find the name of your main contact. If you do not have a profile or are the main contact and cannot remember your membership number, please contact our membership team at info@ukoug.org or give us a call on +44 (0)20 8545 9670.

What is a main contact and what do they have to do? Up Arrow
The main contact is the individual in your organisation with overall responsibility for your membership including payment and allocation of event passes etc. Full details are available here.

How can I be affiliated with my company’s existing membership? 
You can register and attach yourself to your organisation’s membership by following the steps below. You will need your membership number from the main contact of the membership in order to do so.

  • Click on this link
  • Choose the ‘already a member’ option
  • Enter your company name and membership number
  • Fill in your contact details
  • Wait for your online access password to arrive by email

How do I update my company’s details? Up Arrow
You will be able to change some of your organisation's information by logging in to the website and going to your MyUKOUG area. To update any details which can't be amended in this area, you will need to call our membership team on +44 (0)20 8545 9670 or drop them an email at membership@ukoug.org. If you have forgotten your password click here. If you require an online profile, please follow the instructions in the above section ‘How to create an online profile‘.

If you would like to change the name of company you work for, or have changed roles - you will need to call us in the office so we can do this manually. Please call +44 (0)20 8545 9670 or email info@ukoug.org.

How many colleagues can use my membership? 
All UKOUG memberships can be used by an unlimited number of company employees. For more information on membership benefits and entitlements, click here.

How do I find out which products and services I am entitled to?

Where do I find out more about my community? Up Arrow
A UKOUG community refers to a group that is organised to share information, knowledge and experiences around Oracle product areas. A community is made up of product users, third parties and Oracle representatives. To find out more information about your community, please find your community here.

How do I change my communication preferences? 
If you would like to opt in or out of any of our emails or communications, you can set exactly what information you would like to receive in your online profile. Alternatively, send an email to info@ukoug.org and we'll add you to or remove you from our mailing lists.

How do I find out if I have the right membership for me?

How can I pay for my membership? 
You can either pay by credit card or provide us with a purchase order number. Credit card payments can be made online by the main contact or other contacts can call us with the card details or submit their card details securely here. Payments will be processed within 24 hours and a copy of the invoice and a receipt will be posted or emailed to you. If you have provided a purchase order number, an invoice will be raised and sent to the invoice address specified on the renewal form.

What are the payment options for UKOUG? Up Arrow
Please note that the following information is for UKOUG membership and SIG payments only and should not be used to make payments for UKOUG conferences. Details relating to payment options for the UKOUG conferences can be found on the conference registration pages once registration opens.

  • Credit cards
    UKOUG accepts all major credit cards. If you would like to make a payment, please call +44 (0)20 8545 9670 or submit your card details securely here. Main contacts can pay online by logging in.
  • Cheques
    Cheques should to be made payable to: UK Oracle User Group and posted to: UK Oracle User Group, User Group House, 591-593 Kingston Road, Wimbledon, SW20 8SA. (Registered Office)

I would like to use my 10% OU discount Up Arrow
To use your 10% member discount you must first make sure you are attached to the membership, either through your main contact or by obtaining the membership number from your main contact and creating an online profile here. Full instructions for how to do this can be found above under ‘How do I create an online profile?‘

Once this had been done you will then need to visit the training page on our website and submit an enquiry form, detailing the course you would like to book.

One you have submitted your enquiry, you will receive a confirmation by email from the UKOUG membership team. Your contact details will be sent to the appropriate Oracle University course provider and they will contact you by phone to give you more details about the course including available dates and locations. Alternatively, contact info@ukoug.org with the course name.

How do I access the digital version of Oracle Scene? 
As a member, your organisation is entitled to one free copy of our interesting and informative publication, Oracle Scene. As a member with an online account you can also access and download the magazine here and if you opt in to receive the digital edition you will receive a notification email when each edition has been published.

Events Up Arrow

How do I register for events? 
Full listings of our events can be found here. Select the event you are interested in for more details. Once registration has been opened for an event, typically 8 weeks prior to the event date, a link to the registration pages will be made available.

Please note: we can‘t attach you to your company‘s membership without prior permission from the main contact of the membership. Call us on +44 (0)20 8545 9670 or email us to find out who the main contact is for your organisation‘s membership.

How do I register for a conference? 
When a conference is open for registration a banner will appear on the UKOUG website homepage for that conference, or it can be found in the events calendar. Click on the banner/event name to go through to the conference page. There will be a registration link on the relevant conference page. Anyone whose company has a UKOUG membership will need to ensure they are attached to the membership first to take advantage of any inclusive member conference passes. See ‘How do I attach myself to my company’s membership?‘ for instructions of how to do this.

I am being wrongly charged for a SIG event, what do I do? Up Arrow
Firstly, check your membership fees have been paid; if there is an outstanding amount the system will charge you a non member rate. A cap of 4 free places per event is set for Silver, Gold and Platinum members. Special events may have a different charging system to SIGs.

If you believe that you are being wrongly charged for an event, please call the appropriate project manager who will be able to investigate this and register you manually if necessary. Their details are listed on the event page on our online calendar. Or call the events team on +44 (0)20 8545 9670.

I am a SIG chair – How do I register without being charged? 
The project manager of the event register you for your own SIG as standard.  If you want to attend another event which you are not on the committee of please contact that event's project manager. Call our events team on +44 (0)20 8545 9670 or email events@ukoug.org.

I am a SIG presenter – How do I register without being charged? 
All speakers will be registered as standard by the project manager of the event you will be presenting at. Call our events team on +44 (0)20 8545 9670 or email events@ukoug.org if you have any questions.

I haven't received my registration confirmation for an event, what should I do? Up Arrow

  • Conferences: Please visit the registration pages for the relevant conference and follow the links to contact the registration team.
  • SIGs: Please call the events team on +44 (0)20 8545 9670 or email events@ukoug.org with ’SIG Registration – confirmation request’ as the subject.

I would like to present at UKOUG SIG/special events but do not know how to proceed? 
If you want to share your expertise and experiences with the relevant UKOUG community, check out our communities to see which would be the best fit

Once you know where your topic fits, you can submit an abstract here. Your abstract will be sent to the SIG committee who put together the event agenda. They will contact you to discuss your application.

I would like to submit an article for Oracle Scene

I would like to submit an abstract for a conference  Up Arrow
If you are interested in presenting at a conference ensure you have opted in to receive communications on conferences.  For a conference in December call for papers usually opens around April.  Each conference has its own dedicated website where you will be able to submit your abstract.

I would like to chair a session 
Each session at the larger UK Oracle User Group conferences is introduced by a session chair. The session chair will introduce themselves to the speaker prior to the event, inform audience of housekeeping rules, introduce the speaker and ensure that the session runs to time to keep inline with the agenda, possibly facilitating any Q&A if required.

Each conference will have a minimum chairing limit where you may be eligible to receive a full pass to the conference free of charge.

This guide defines Oracle policies and cannot be challenged by their sales force. Useful email addresses for specific pricing and licensing questions can also be found here.
