Oracle Scene - Issue 62
At SITA, in order to stay in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) & BI product lifetime support and to provide newer features, mainly online patching to business users, we planned to do our upgrade along with an Operating System upgrade and server migration of our application servers. Intent was to do this upgrade with minimal downtime and with easy rollback options in case of any eventuality. The EBS production system has close to 5000 users and the size of EBS database is approximately 1.3 TB. In this article, we primarily focus on the experiences of the EBS upgrade.

Data if used effectively will automate the mundane tasks and advise on in-context experiences. We are at the precipice of organisations moving from ‘having’ data to being ‘data driven’.
