With #ukoug_jde15 just around the corner, we wanted to tell you what you’ll be missing out on if you’re not at the UK’s key annual event for the JD Edwards community.
With 19 Oracle experts preaching their knowledge and wisdom from the JDE world, the ICC Birmingham on the 8th & 9th December is home to over 40 sessions where you can embrace explore and evolve your JD Edwards’s knowledge and connections.
Helping you develop your expertise on topics such as cloud, E9.2, mobile integration, security and roadmaps. Listening to presentations from businesses such as DWS, Differentia Consulting, Steltix and insightsoftware.com allows you to learn from customer experiences, as well as gain insight into strategies and strengths you could adapt for your business. With our Knowledge Bite sessions you can learn on a more interactive level – these short 20 minute sessions provide you with an engaging and thought provoking deep dive session where you can ask all the nitty gritty questions that affect you and your professional life. Throw yourself into our new Live Demo stands - where exhibitors can portray their products to delegates, showing them the uses and future developments of their products – and you’ve got plenty more than just knowledge to take back to the office!
With new features, old features and “we love it bring it back features” this year’s conference also has two keynote speeches from the key Oracle players: Lyle Ekdahl, Gary Grieshaber and Bob Monahan. Opening the conference on Tuesday morning is Lyle Ekdahl with his talk “JD Edwards – Innovative solutions for the Modern Enterprise”. As Vice President of Oracle’s JD Edwards, Lyle will be taking delegates through JD Edwards’s innovative solutions and how they will affect how you compete, grow revenue and accelerate the modernisation of your business. Gary Grieshaber and Bob Monahan will be kicking off day two with their keynote speech “JD Edwards Roadmaps: Applications and Tools” giving delegates an insight into new product value that has been delivered in the latest EnterpriseOne and JD Edwards World releases.
Attending a conference isn’t just about the knowledge you absorb, it’s also the perfect environment to build your connections. With plenty of advice available online to help you make the most of your conference experience, a search through the hundreds of articles will all show you one common recommendation: TAKE LOTS OF BUSINESS CARDS. Bring business cards, exchange business cards, collect business cards to ensure you have all the contacts you need from the people you met and were intrigued by in your time at JDE15. Knowing the importance of expanding your network, we’ve organised the JDE15 “Beach Themed” Exhibition Drinks! Held at 17:10PM (GMT) on Tuesday 8th we are offering a prize to the best dressed stand, and with everyone making an effort, this is set to be a nice relaxed environment, for you to discuss and debate your JDE hot topics with a drink in hand and a flower garland around your neck!
With the co-location of this year’s conference with Apps15 and Tech15 we are able to offer new features to delegates for this year’s event. With access to the the Oracle UX Lab, you can give your feedback to help the future profession of Oracle products. Delegates can also access this year’s Conference Mobile Application where you can network, socialise and create your own personalised agenda both before and during the event.
